Sometimes I find myself reflecting on the journey that brought me to Harmony, or as I like to call it, home. My experience rebuilding my relationship and growing closer to Jesus was very broken and, at times, difficult to continue the path Jesus laid before me. Prayer was/is my greatest ally in communicating and growing in my personal relationship with Jesus. It was through prayer and reading scripture that He shared with me words of comfort, when I prayed for His strength, guidance and wisdom.
“We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that the help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” Romans 5:3-5 (NLT)
Today, I have constant joy knowing that the brokenness of my life, essentially is what brought me here to Harmony. Jesus has called me to serve the broken-hearted and the lost, through my testimony to bring them home to him, just as He once did for me.
