Egg Your Yard was a huge hit – we dropped over 5,000 eggs to kids in our community!

HarmonyKids Loop Room started off strong with a dozen kids each week! These kids are having a great time being with their peers and also building relationships with their awesome leaders
- Comedy night with Shawn Reynolds was a success! It created an organic way to invite friends to church, no strings attached
- We are seeing a lot of first-time guests each week
- Our Care Ministry team has been ministering to so many through prayer, calls, and visitations
Prayer Requests
Calling all Prayer Warriors
- Pray that God will raise up people to serve in our ministry to kids and REACH
- Pray for opportunities for our church to make a difference in people’s lives in Georgetown
- Pray for those affected by grief and loss
- Pray for our church as we continue to seek financial stability in order to reach more people with the Gospel
- Pray for our Student Ministry (Teens) and those who lead them, these students face such huge pressures and issues and need to deeply know the love of God

Why Membership Matters?

Advancing the Kingdom by Living for God and Loving People
I have recently chatted with several people who have shared with me just how much they love Harmony, and honestly, I have to tell you, I haven’t been surprised when they tell me why. As much as I’d love to tell you that what stuck out them was the preaching, I can’t do that. It wasn’t even the worship or kids ministry – although they all loved those things. What actually made them want to “stick” to Harmony was… [drum roll please!]
The people…
Did you hear that? The thing that stuck out to them was that Harmony is full of people who are quick to offer second chances. It’s full of people who are quick to toot others’ horns, not their own. It’s full of real people having a really good time. And Harmony is full of shockingly generous people.
It wasn’t really a surprise to me though, because that’s why Jenni and I were willing to take a shot on moving across the country from Kansas to Kentucky 2 years ago to join in what God is doing at this church. It’s because our members are amazing.
Our members are some of the most committed sacrificial people I’ve ever met. Whether it’s a worship team member giving upwards of 7 hours in a week to make our 1 hour on Sunday morning seamless or a couple sitting on the floor in the pre-school class caring for a 2-year-old that’s had a rough week. Our members go above and beyond.
That’s why at Harmony we take membership seriously because our members make a serious difference!
Membership at a church is so different from other memberships in the world we are all familiar with. See, when I’m a member of Amazon Prime or Walmart+, my membership means that I have privileges that others don’t. But in the body of Christ, membership is a completely other idea – membership doesn’t mean privilege, instead, membership means responsibility and a higher level of commitment.
It’s why, when you meet one of our members, you find someone who is as passionate about what God is doing through Harmony as you would find if you were talking to one of our staff members. It’s because these people understand that the mission of our church to Advance God’s Kingdom by living for God and loving people rests on their shoulders!
But here’s the problem. In the past, becoming a member at Harmony wasn’t really all that clear. If I’m honest, if you had asked me a month ago, I’d say, “well, we used to have a class for that, but we don’t really have a good process now…”
That is no longer my answer!
As we started thinking about how important being a member is AND how we could innovate and do something completely new in this space, we decided to experiment and create a way for you to become a member on your own time and in your own way. Here’s how it works. We have created an online membership track that you can take at your own pace – doing your own study along the way. As you complete each track of the course, you will be asked to submit a pledge of membership. Once this is complete, there is a form you fill out online that lets us know that you have completed and placed your membership at Harmony, there’s even a way you can choose to share with the church at large.
If you’ve ever listened to a podcast, then you could take this membership track course – because we made it a podcast! You can even subscribe on Apple and Spotify.
Each episode is intentionally short. Actually, we’ve put the first episode below for you to be able to listen to it and get a taste for it:

If you are uncertain of whether you are a member at Harmony, then I’d encourage you to go through this course. As a matter of fact, even if you are certain you’re a member, I think you’ll find this course really an encouraging reminder of what it means to be an active part of the body of Christ.

Our New Connections Pastor
Ok, she’s not going to be new to many of you, but she’s taking on a new role and we are PUMPED about it!
Welcome Mrs. Amber McKenzie
as she has accepted a part-time position at Harmony helping people go from someone who stepped foot on our parking lot to a fully committed partner in ministry. She will continue developing opportunities for people to connect around things like the cookouts as well as help them jump into and form Connection Groups. I cannot imagine a better person for this role and hope that you will join me in praying for Amber and stepping up to help her new ministry role at Harmony!
Harmony Has Space to Lease
You’ve likely never seen just how big Harmony really is! Did you know we have up to 12,000 square feet of undeveloped area as well as 10,000 square feet of Dock space available for lease?

By getting this space leased, we can unleash more dollars for ministry to Advance the Kingdom!

In the future simply save the Text2Give number on your phone and text any amount (add ‘weekly’, ‘biweekly’, ‘monthly’, or ‘yearly’ for a recurring gift).

| give | You will receive a response asking “how much you’d like to give”. |
| $50 missions | Donates $50 to the missions fund. You can also give to the building fund this way (example: $50 building) |
| $50 weekly | Sets up a recurring gift of $50 each week. Frequency options are ‘weekly’, ‘biweekly’, ‘monthly’, and ‘yearly’. |
| $50 missions weekly | Sets up a recurring gift of $50 each week to the missions fund. Frequency options are ‘weekly’, ‘biweekly’, ‘monthly’, and ‘yearly’. |
| refund | Refunds the previously given contribution. This command can only create a refund within 24 hours of giving the gift. If the previously given contribution started a recurring gift, the recurrence will also be canceled. |
| update | Allows a donor to update their payment method or recurring gift. You will receive a response with a link where you can make these changes. Please note: You can only update recurring gifts via text when the recurring gift was established via text giving. |

Harmony Kids

Did you know that Harmony is growing? I sure do. I’m sure you’ve noticed lots of people in the seats in the worship center or out in the lobby. But my favorite thing to see grow? Our Kids area (and not just because I’m the Children’s pastor). When I started at Harmony 8 months ago, I had lots of kids during each service, but now? We have TONS of kids each service. Our nursery is consistently bustling, our Pre-K area is booming, and we added a 4th and 5th grade room to spread out our elementary! When a kid’s area is thriving, it makes my heart happy because not only are these children learning about Jesus and the Bible, they are growing relationships and friendships with their peers that will help them want to come and be active in church as they grow older. Our REACH program is a great testament to that. These kids have developed wonderful bonds with our HarmonyKids team members and seek them out on Sundays, even if they aren’t volunteering, to make sure and give them hugs or to say hello. I can’t wait to see more kids, (and more adults, maybe you?) in HarmonyKids area this year!!!
Also, be on the lookout for information for our summer activities! There will be lots of ways to stay connected with church friends throughout the season!
