Preschool Substitute Teacher
Description
The Substitute Teacher will need to effectively manage and instruct the class. Tidying up the classroom after the students have left.
Responsibilities
- Follow lesson plans provided by the Classroom Teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students.
- Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions, and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of each individual student.
- Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, on the playground and in the cafeteria.
Qualifications
- Experience in a preschool setting.
- Ability to follow lesson plans and class routines.
- New hire requirements.
Education
- CDA Preferred.
Job Responsibilities to maintain employment:
- Complete 15 hours of professional development annually and implement what you have learned back into the classroom.
- Update TB skin tests every two years.
- Complete a professional development plan with the director annually.
- Complete a staff evaluation with the director annually.
- Complete CPR/First Aid certification every two years.
- Complete the 1.5-hour Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma Training in the first year of hire.
- Complete 6 hours of Orientation in the first 90 days of hire.
- Follow and implement all center policies and procedures daily.
