Leader Hints are designed to help guide a leader to some information that we want to “tease” out of the group.  They are not there for you to directly read to the participants.  People are significantly more likely to remember things they said or came up with, so your goal is to help direct them to that answer.

FINAL NOTE:  Our goal is to get to the [APPLICATION QUESTION] to help work with people through how to apply what God is doing in their life.

    INTRO:

    • Icebreaker: Spring has sprung, is everyone’s seasonal depression lightening up?

    REBUILD THE SERMON:

    • Reflecting on Solomon’s story, have you ever experienced a moment where you were moving forward in your faith journey, only to suddenly feel like you hit a roadblock? What happened, and how did you navigate through it?
    • Solomon initially asked for wisdom from God, which led to his success. What do you think prompted him to eventually turn away from God’s commands and pursue other gods? (1 Kings 11:4-5)
    • Considering Solomon’s downfall, how do you think the influence of relationships, like his wives, can impact one’s devotion to their faith or values?
    • In your own life, what are some potential “handlebar-turning” influences that could divert your focus away from your spiritual path?
    • Read Psalm 86:11. Solomon’s prayer for an undivided heart is a powerful plea for spiritual alignment. How can you apply this prayer to your own life?
    • If you were to advise someone facing similar struggles to Solomon, what practical strategies or principles would you offer to help them stay grounded in their faith and avoid spiritual compromise?

    Application Question:

    • As Proverbs 4:23 says, what steps can someone take to guard their heart, with all the distractions and temptations of life?
    • Take up prayer requests and pray together.

    Prayer Request Submission

Prayer requests remain on our list for two weeks. If the need is on going, please resubmit or contact our prayer team.

Would you be interested in learning more about joining our care team and praying for the needs of those in our church and caring for them?

I would like to have someone follow up with me and personally pray for my need with me. You will receive a phone call or text from one of our team member if you select this option
