Discussion Guide: Stop Hiding, Step Into Strength
Key Scripture
Genesis 3:1-10
"But the Lord God called to the man, 'Where are you?'" (Genesis 3:9)
Icebreaker
- Who was a man (father, grandfather, coach, teacher, pastor, friend) who positively influenced your life? What made his influence significant?
- When you hear the phrase "real man", what qualities come to mind?
Opening Reflection
The sermon challenged men to consider a simple but powerful question:
What kind of man do you want to be?
The message argued that biblical manhood is not about power, dominance, or control. Rather, it is about using strength for the good of others and accepting responsibility instead of hiding from it.
A godly man is strong—but he uses his strength to serve, protect, lead, and bless others.
Read Together
Genesis 3:1-10
As you read, pay special attention to Adam's role in the story.

Prayer
Father,
Thank You for calling us out of hiding and into purpose. Forgive us for the times we have avoided responsibility, remained passive, or failed to use our strength for the good of others. Help us become men who reflect Jesus—men who love sacrificially, lead humbly, and serve faithfully.
Give us courage to step into the battles You have called us to fight. Help us influence our families, our church, and our community for Your Kingdom. Surround us with godly men who will encourage and challenge us to grow.
May our strength always be used for the good of others and for Your glory.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
