Leader Hints are designed to help guide a leader to some information that we want to “tease” out of the group.  They are not there for you to directly read to the participants.  People are significantly more likely to remember things they said or came up with, so your goal is to help direct them to that answer.

FINAL NOTE:  Our goal is to get to the [APPLICATION QUESTION] to help work with people through how to apply what God is doing in their life.

    INTRO:

    • Icebreaker: With March just beginning, what’s one thing you’re looking forward to or hoping to accomplish this month?
    • Reflect on last week’s application question: Did the concepts of resilience, forgiveness, and trusting God with a long-term perspective impact anyone’s life in a tangible way this week?

    REBUILD THE SERMON:

    • Reflecting on the life of Moses, what aspects of his journey resonate with your own experiences of tumult and challenges?
    • In the specific incident involving the golden calf, why do you think the Israelites turned to idolatry so quickly despite experiencing God’s miraculous deliverance?
    • Paul’s admonition in Corinthians warns against various forms of temptation, including idolatry, immorality, and grumbling. How do these temptations manifest in our modern lives?
    • How can we apply Paul’s encouragement to recognize our vulnerabilities and rely on God’s faithfulness in the face of temptation?
    • Considering the New Covenant’s emphasis on God’s unconditional love and grace, how can we shift our mindset from fearing punishment to embracing God’s redemptive invitation?

    Application Question:

There are two application questions this week.  Pick the one that resonates with you the most and lay out some concrete actions for you to follow throughout the week.

    • Reflecting on Paul’s words and the challenges faced by Moses and the Israelites, how can you actively embrace the New Covenant’s promise of grace and find strength to overcome temptation in your life today?
    • Take up prayer requests and pray together.
