- What’s one serving opportunity you’ve done that has had a lasting impact on you?
- Recall last week’s application question: “Between finding a purpose, dealing with Sin, and developing lasting power for God, which did you focus on last week?” Does anyone want to share anything?
REBUILD THE SERMON:
Trail 7: How do I live for God?
- What stood out to you from the sermon? What are the 4G’s?
Leader Hint: God, Groups, Growing, Going - Read James 4:8. There are three things that make up the God step. What are they?
Leader Hint: Weekly Worship, Daily Devotion, Intentional rhythm to help you set your mind on things above. - What does a rhythm to be intentional about including God in your day look like?
- There are four things that make up the Groups step. What are they?
Leader Hint: Actively engaging in Godly relationships, small groups, bible studies, friendships that are faith oriented. - Which one stands out to you?
- Read Philippians 3:12-14. The Growing Step.
- Like Paul, we should continually learn and dive deeper into Jesus. How do you learn best?
Examples: Reading, watching videos, listen to podcasts, discussion with others, deep study of the Bible. - There are two things that make up the Going step. What are they?
Leader Hint: Looking for God opportunities, using your time, talent, and treasure for the Kingdom. - Which of the 4G’s appeal to you the most?
- Which one is most difficult?
Application Question:
- What are some practical steps you could take to incorporate the 4G’s into your daily life? Here are some examples:
- Commit to spending time every day reading the Bible and praying
- Join a small group or ministry team
- Get involved in a Bible study
- Make a commitment to be at church every Sunday
- Volunteer for a ministry at church
- Every week bring someone at work a drink
- Take up prayer requests and pray as a group.
